Project Details

A Bears Eye-View of Yellowstone is an interactive documentary that invites the user into an immersive journey following two grizzlies and two black bear each equipped with cameras and GPS trackers. Readers get an unprecedented look at the life of a bear – from a bear’s point of view.

Inspired by the unique maps from the National Geographic magazines, we created an interactive version of Yellowstone Park that follows each bear on a 60 day journey throughout the park. As the user scrolls through the website, each bear is highlighted with videos, photos and audio interviews from researches and bear experts.

The interactive documentary was a huge success and earned an Emmy nomination in News and Documentary - New Approach.
